FINALLY!
DeKalb County has finally started a subscription residential curbside recycling program that, for a nominal fee, will be available starting in August to everybody who receives curbside garbage collection. The initial fee is $55, which covers supplies and 12 months of weekly pick-up. Each additional year of service will be $25. The supplies you will receive upon payment of your initial fee are a blue plastic bin for mixed paper recyclables and blue bags forcommingled plastic, glass, aluminum, tin, and certain other food containers.Additional sets of 100 blue bags are $15 each. Weekly curbside collection service will occur on Wednesdays.
